The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative support functions to help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Human Resources Department and the Social Equity and Inclusion office. Serves as a central point of contact and liaison for the internal and external RISD community; coordinates incoming and outgoing requests; gathers contextual information to help ascertain nature of inquiries; answers routine questions regarding standard policies, procedures, and events; and escalates or refers as appropriate. Manages the Vice President’s and Directors’ calendars and coordinates travel arrangements and meetings. Assembles and distills information from a wide variety of sources and prepares correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and minutes. Tracks and reports on departmental expenditures. Manages training logistics; designs and disseminates training materials; and gathers, distills and incorporates training evaluation feedback into program enhancements or changes. Provides administrative support to and logistical coordination for special projects and events.
