Departmental Overview

The Information Management & Workflow team provides electronic document imaging and workflow management to the entire campus as part of the Productivity and Collaboration Services (PCS) group within the Campus IT Experience unit of Berkeley Information Technology. The team supports both SaaS and on-prem enterprise applications, as well as complex integrations to a variety of other systems. These services are in a period of growth, and the departments in the Productivity and Collaboration Services group will continue to collaborate and coordinate application administration and other technical support functions.
Productivity & Collaboration Services is a part of the Campus IT Experience unit within Berkeley IT. It provides technologies and software to support the overall productivity and collaboration of students, faculty, and staff in their pursuit of the academic and research missions of the university.

This position is part of the Records Management, Imagine, DocuSign and Survey Team. Working with the campus community, 50% of this position is responsible for service leadership, user support, and training for Survey tools such as Qualtrics. The other 50% will support our other services such as DocuSign, and Imagine services.

Responsibilities include:
Qualtrics Service Leadership and Development by partnering with service providers across campus to improve and/or automate processes. Create business practices by identifying the most common use cases and develop templates that can be shared across campus. Developing and socializing: 1) best practices, 2) shared workflow and templates, 3) community of practice.
Create and update UCB-centered training and documentation (for example KB articles, FAQs, Newsletters, Quick Start Guide, Qualtrics campus website). Working with other members of the records management support team on technical integrations.

Leading campus units to best use of available tools to meet business/research process requirements, including suggestions for automating and improving processes. Maintaining a thorough knowledge of campus business process tools and integrating Qualtrics, DocuSign or similar tools into processes.

Proactively analyzing related business processes and making suggestions for efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Strong skills and knowledge of methodologies associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow and architecture.
  • In-depth understanding and skill in process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills.
  • Broad knowledge relating to software design.
  • Thorough knowledge of business processes and procedures.

Salary & Benefits

This position is an exempt, monthly paid position. Annual pay for this role is commensurate with experience within the range of $74,300 - $101,000. For information on the comprehensive benefits package offered by the University visit:
