The Wellness Center provides medical and health education to university students in the process of becoming aware of, taking respnsibility for and making choices that directly contribute to one’s well-being.

This position will be responsible for weight management education to students of ROTC and athletics and entire student population.
Will be responsible for all 101 classes and doing healthy lifestyle presentations.
Will become certified nutritiion specialist and will work with ROTC groups, athletes and any student who is interested in weight loss.
Serve as backup for Director as needed, work with physician and do training for MA as needed.
Educate about diagnosis, treatment of medical condition and appropriate preventive measures as needed.
 Act as a resource to the campus community with regard to health issues. Must be able to document in clear, consise language in chart and to Physicians
The RN responsibilities are both clinical and administrative. Dispense treatments and over the counter medications within RN scope of practice and under guidelines provided by the MD.Conduct follow-up telephone calls to students and call in prescriptions to pharmacies as required.
 Review new student records for fulfillment of vaccine requirements. Will devise, implement and evaluated plans of care, utilizing sound clinical judgement based on needs of the patient. Will communicate clearly with students in writing, including e-mail, telephone and in person about record completion.
Perform and record monthly quality assurance testing on medical devices. Will assist Director with writing policies, and standing orders. Will learn the Pyramed EMR system, will learn to dispense limited prescription drugs on site. Work collaboratively with nursing staff and Physicians. Promote exercise and healthy eating, dealing with stress, mental health and wellbeing, including depression and bullying, drug and alcohol abuse and smoking. Must maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality. 
 Must become CPR certified. Will manage web page for the Wellness Center. Will assist with orientation planning, presentations and working on the orientation weekend.
