The University at Buffalo’s Centralized Biorepository, located in the Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC) has an opening for a junior level technician.
The UB Biorepository is a university asset providing services including sample accessioning, collection kits, sample processing, storage and distribution to both academia and industry. Along with supporting academic research, the Biorepository plays a critical role in UB’s economic development mission by collaborating with industry partners/clients to support their R&D needs.
Under the guidance of the Biorepository Manager, the Junior Technician will assist with and support the daily operations of the Biorepository to provide optimal services to collaborators and clients.
The candidate should have molecular biology skills and be comfortable with using automation for various processes. Training will be provided. In addition to lab bench activities, this position will help the Biorepository Manager with routine instrument maintenance, purchasing reagents and consumables, and assisting with compliance policies. Excellent computer and organizational skills are essential.
