Job Summary
Coordinate, implement and maintain environmental health and safety (EHS) initiatives for Georgia Southern University community. Manage projects and maintain data that supports the most effective EHS direction for the University.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Coordinate with key managers in focusing attention on ways to maximize EHS efforts
  • Conduct research, collect data, develop and investigate solutions
  • Oversee monthly safety equipment inspections (i.e., AEDs, fire extinguishers)
  • Perform safety inspections of university facilities and present safety training
  • Perform environmental inspections at university facilities, present environmental training, and implement environmental programs
  • Supervise the Environmental Health and Safety Technician
  • Establish work priorities and provide guidance and instruction

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental safety or related field


Required Experience
  • Three (3) years of related work experience

  • Experience in higher education

Proposed Salary
$33,300 - $41,600
