Position Summary
The Office of Vice Provost for International Education (VPIE) at the University at Buffalo (UB) invites applications for the position of Financial Coordinator.

As Financial Coordinator, your responsibilities will include preparing budgets for a variety of programs and projects, including budgets for UB-based programs as well as for study abroad and international experiential learning programs. You will also advise others on applicable policies and business practices.

The Financial Coordinator will also provide financial and accounting support, including tracking expenditures, reconciling accounts, and managing payments and reimbursements.

The Financial Coordinator will help manage departmental purchasing activities and record keeping, and work collaboratively as a member of a small team to support a variety of administrative tasks related to VPIE’s general business operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree. Two years of directly related experience, such as experience with budget planning, financial management, accounting or with managing international education programs.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate financial principles to non-specialists.

An awareness of or an ability to learn about international perspectives, and processes that apply to managing international education business activities.

Ability to use or learn a wide range of computer application and systems, and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of University at Buffalo or SUNY business policies and procedures.
