Admissions Event Coordinator
The Admissions Event Coordinator (Professional Services Specialist 4) reports to the Associate Director for the Campus Experience and assists the Associate Director from concept through completion in delivering roughly 250 annual admissions recruitment events, in-person and virtually. This individual also provides partial supervision of a Graduate Assistant and Kean’s Student Ambassadors, a team of approximately 40 undergraduate student workers. These students serve as the institution’s foremost brand representatives during admissions events, including Open Houses, Student for a Day and campus tours. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and dedicated to providing students and their families with a positive guest experience. Most importantly, the employee will be able to coordinate the daily details that create memorable experiences while balancing the big-picture objectives that help Kean University meet its institutional goals. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; one year of professional experience working in an event-oriented capacity; a driver’s license valid in New Jersey; and transportation for recruitment travel is required. Two to four years of event experience is preferred. Experience hosting virtual events is a plus. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be capable of communicating effectively with a diverse audience.
