Position: Small Animal Caretaker                                                                                            Department: Veterinary Teaching Hospital/CVM

Status: full-time

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize cages, kennels, exercise areas and wards daily. Clean and disinfect isolation ward as needed. Assist with feeding, watering, and exercising patients as needed. Clean and disinfect hallways, feed rooms, reception area daily. Assist with unloading feed. Assist with transporting animals to and from kennel and exercise areas


High School Graduate or GED Able to lift at least 40 lbs. without difficulty Previous work experience working in janitorial services or kennels General interest in animal care Good interpersonal and communication skills Strong work ethic

Commensurate with education, training and experience
