The Human Resources Officer is an exciting leadership opportunity to manage all routine and strategic human resource functions within the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The school is interested in recruiting a dynamic candidate who is committed to excellence in business administration which will contribute toward building an equitable and diverse academic environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and work ethic.
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President and Chief of Staff, this position’s responsibilities include:
Oversight and implementation of all aspects of personnel management, including but not limited to faculty, staff hiring, reappointment and coordination of faculty promotions and tenure.
Serve as primary resource/liaison for all human resource matters and advance the school and university goals of employee growth and professional development.
Successfully onboard staff by providing and coordinating training at all levels for business operations and be the primary contact for 26 departments and 16 units who need assistance in managing human resource processes.
Attend University meetings as they pertain to human resource activities and integrate human resource projects which are implemented by the University.
Strategically develop workforce planning and position management in the School of Medicine by rolling out a comprehensive plan for personnel in conjunction with finance.
Build effective collaborations and partnerships with key campus partners and create effective practices to enhance the recruitment of diverse candidates.
Supervision of support staff.
