Student Financial Services provides financial services to undergraduate and graduate students on the Tufts Medford campus. These services include awarding and disbursing financial aid, bill payment, student employment and student loan repayment.
The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing specific grant programs, managing day to day office operations, providing leadership to staff, and maintaining a client caseload. This individual manages specific grant programs from origination to disbursement, triaging problems and creating work plans to meet time lines. S/he counsels and advises families about the application process, reviews eligibility, performs needs analysis, awards aid, and certifies loans in compliance with federal and state agency policies. This individual assists in the development of short and long term plans and office policies and procedures. S/he trains new staff and may delegate and monitor the work of others, lead financial aid projects, and conduct financial aid presentations to prospective and enrolled students.
