The College of Chemistry is comprised of:
- The Department of Chemistry
- The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Both disciplines provide the opportunity and means for meeting major scientific and technological challenges, such as addressing climate change, increasing the world's food supply, synthesizing new materials, and discovering and delivering important drugs. The college prides itself on a balanced approach to science, with research areas ranging from experimental to theoretical. Faculty in both departments are engaged in teaching and research in a wide range of applications and sub-disciplines.
Under supervision of the Facility Manager:
- Replaces gas cylinders in the laboratory instruments.
- Maintains and, as needed, cleans-up the glove box.
- Weighs samples and standards, including performing the procedure in the glove box.
Salary & Benefits
- Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma.
- One year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of lab safety and maintenance procedures.
The position is non-exempt, bi-weekly paid position. Hourly pay for this role is commensurate with experience.
