Under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Staff Clinician (Professional Services Specialist III) is responsible for the assessment, support and treatment of Kean University students with a specific focus on students who have experienced trauma and/or sexual violence, assault, harassment, stalking, domestic violence or bullying. The Staff Clinician uses established policies, procedures and guidelines as stated by the State of New Jersey and Federal laws and regulations to provide essential support services to the University community. This is a half-time position (17.5 hours weekly) that may require nights and weekends on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or a Counseling-related field; license or eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey in a mental health field; and a minimum of two years of clinical experience including work with high-risk patients as well as complex and/or longstanding clinical problems is required. Familiarity with developmental issues of college students and demonstrated sensitivity and skill in work with a diverse student, staff and faculty population is also required. Candidate must have the ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals from different disciplines and departments.
