Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for a Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Associate to support the growing team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Reporting to the Campaign Director, the Associate is responsible for providing both routine and advanced administrative support to multiple professionals as well as for a modest array of special projects that evolve over time.

Administrative responsibilities include:
making complex travel plans and submitting complex travel expense reports
tracking the status of travel request forms
reviewing and completing financial documents
producing financial reports
managing calendars and scheduling meetings
ordering supplies and services
entering contact reports
supporting prospect management projects
preparing for and staffing campus events formally hosted by the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement or as assigned by the Senior Vice President
making event invitation calls
collecting and organizing RSVP’s
The Associate will collect data, conduct research, and assemble complex reports with urgency and a high degree of accuracy.

The Associate must be a proactive, creative and tenacious problem-solver; unfailingly positive, engaging and gracious; professional, poised and polished; possess exceptional integrity and be very discrete with confidential material; have excellent written and oral communication skills and brand ambassador; and work with a service-oriented outlook. The Associate must possess the ability to work with a sense of urgency, high attention to detail and commitment to producing excellent, finished work with minimal oversight.

Occasionally, this role may entail being assigned to work during evenings or weekends outside of normal business hours. These instances will be managed according to standard institutional procedures governing non-exempt employees.


Required Qualifications:
HS diploma and 2 years of professional office work experience
Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of various Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
3 years of higher education or nonprofit administrative experience
Experience with prospect management and special events
