This is a half time position that is currently funded for one year, but may be extended if we are successful at obtaining new funding. You will be asked to assist in preparing the grant application for continuation of funding. The most important aspect of this position is communication: communication with investigators, communication with members of the military and communication with other staff working in our research center.

Below are some key aspects of the job:
The purpose of the project is to investigate the feasibility of introducing a research project within military settings. Prior experience in the military would be an asset but is not required.
The position involves assisting the investigators in their communication with health care providers within the military. A background in health care will be an asset.
You would also be expected to coordinate visits to military sites, including making travel arrangements but more importantly coordinating the visits with the key personnel at the site.
We are also conducting research at UB on some of the tests we have developed and you would be involved in recruiting subjects and consenting subjects using IRB approved consent forms.
You will be involved in collecting and storing data related to the research projects. Experience with Excel will be an asset.

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in a health related area

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the delivery of health services in the military and with research will be considered assets
