Position Summary:

The Office Manager performs a variety of administrative functions that support the programs, activities, and staff of the Women's Center. The Office Manager applies knowledge of the Women's Center's history, mission and goals, as well as a foundational understanding of feminist principles, to maintain the smooth and productive functioning of the Women's Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: development and/or maintenance of program records systems, including budgets and data collection; report preparation; maintaining oversight of daily office operations; supervising, scheduling, and guiding work study students and volunteers; ensuring a clean, professional, and welcoming Women's Center lounge and library; and ensuring office systems are up-to-date and understood by all staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Experience with office support functions including: word processing and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, filing and maintaining organization of records, composing a variety of business documents; reception; gathering and compiling data, and balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects.

Experience: Working with underrepresented student populations; prioritizing and organizing multiple duties and responsibilities; independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a professional setting; budgeting/accounting; and coordinating activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in related area; experience working in higher education; strong interest in gender and womens issues and challenges faced by female, non-traditional, and underrepresented students; openness toward and willingness to work with LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning) student and staff populations; familiarity with University of Idaho policies, procedures; sound knowledge of budgeting/accounting systems, including data analysis, spreadsheet programs, and financial documentation; familiarity with Chrome River, Argos, and Banner finance/student/human resource modules; creative approaches to problem solving; excellent time management skills; strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills; some knowledge of supervisory practices.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Ability to professionally represent Womens Center at various functions and meetings, both on- and off-campus, including at conferences and meetings; ability to work weekends and other hours outside of regular business hours and holidays.
