The National Poultry Technology Center at Auburn University is seeking candidates for the position of Research Engineer III. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Aid in the planning, coordination, delivery of outreach and Extension educational services, events, and projects for the NPTC related to commercial poultry growers, poultry farms, housing systems, and equipment systems; Maintain and service the NPTC demonstration and teaching building, support structures and equipment as well as teaching and research equipment; coordinate NPTC building purchases and payment of invoices; maintain NPTC databases; coordinate the development and distribution of NPTC educational materials; assist in performing program evaluations; develop, construct, and coordinate systems to monitor and collect data from research projects and poultry grower farms; Calibrate research equipment and test meters; Summarize and analyze research data while assisting with the preparation of research reports, professional papers, and manuscripts, and grants; Develop and make presentations and participate in professional meetings and conferences; Prepare reports for faculty, administrators and stakeholder/clientele groups; assist in developing marketing plans and publicity materials; and perform other duties as assigned.
May supervise employees but supervision is not the main focus of the job.
Education Level Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Field of Study
Agricultural, Biosystems, Biological, or other closely related Engineering field.
