Reporting to the Vice President for University Relations or his/her designee, the Webmaster (Managing Assistant Director III) will manage Kean University’s website operations including its planning, design, maintenance, optimization and daily administration. The website serves as Kean’s foundation for internet marketing and its primary student recruitment vehicle. Responsibilities include managing the university’s core website to ensure an effective user experience; publishing content that delivers key messages to various audiences; engaging with vendors as needed; evaluating metrics to drive strategy; troubleshooting technical problems; ensuring consistent content and presentation across Kean’s web portfolio; and related work as required. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and a minimum of two years of professional experience in a related field is required. At least four years of professional experience is preferred, with work in higher education a plus. Experience in marketing in higher education is also preferred. Candidate must have technical experience with HTML, CSS, Drupal administration and site building; content management system administration; JavaScript; Google analytics; Google webmaster tools and tracking code implementation; a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility and general web functions and standards; comprehensive experience with web authoring, development and publishing tools; and experience with computer graphics and multimedia design. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
