Fitness Center Director/Strength and Conditioning Coach

  •  Under supervision of the Sports Medicine Department and working with Embry-Riddle’s head coaches, assist with the development and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for 15 intercollegiate athletic teams so that the needs of each athlete and team are met.
  •  Assist team doctors, trainers, and therapists to design and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.
  •  Manages the Fitness Center’s daily functions and operations, including its programs, services and equipment.
  •  Ensure cleanliness, appearance, safety, and maintenance of the Fitness Center
  •  Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate qualified team of student workers
  •  Manage registration and documentation, including forms, waivers, reports, registrations, and equipment checkout.
  •  Report, track, and follow up on facilities issues. Develop and implement a plan for facilities improvements to enhance the student experience.
  •  Purchasing and maintenance of related equipment
  •  Develop an inclusive, safe, and diverse environment for student, faculty, staff, and guests; address patron behavior, concerns, and conduct issues as necessary.
  •  Address issues appropriately, as they arise.
  •  Work with Embry-Riddle students and staff regarding strength and conditioning questions and training
  •  Ensure that policies and procedures are developed, reviewed, communicated, and implemented consistently across all programs and services.
  •  Performs other related duties as assigned.
