This is an academic year position, working 40 weeks per year.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions recruits potential applicants and selects students for the School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. The Admissions team embraces the mission of the university and the goals of the undergraduate admissions office which include attracting and enrolling a diverse cohort of first year and transfer students via a robust recruitment and enrollment initiatives plan that has equity and inclusion as its guiding principle. The high volume of applicants and visitors require effective customer service and efficient processing systems as well as the ability to handle responsibilities with competing demands.
The Admissions Assistant for Campus Outreach manages the Bendetson Hall (Admissions Office) lobby and greets all walk-in visitors, as well as notifies staff of their scheduled visitor’s arrival. In addition to providing customer service support for Bendetson Hall, the Admissions Assistant also manages outreach-related projects such as special group visits, managing payroll for campus tour guides, and supporting the campus visit outreach portfolio in various capacities.
