Academic Affairs Coordinator

Position Summary
The UB School of Nursing seeks an energetic and highly professional Academic Affairs Coordinator. This position is a member of Office of Academic Affairs within the School of Nursing, responsible for sustaining and growing the school’s academic programs and initiatives. A successful candidate will exhibit strong organization and communication skills. The position will report directly to the Senior Associate Dean. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, prepare, and monitor departmental budget.
- Manage classroom, laboratory, and conference space within the School of Nursing.
- Develop, plan, and coordinate academic-related special events and programming.
- Coordinate assignment and tracking of faculty teaching assignments.
- Maintain academic and student records within the university student system (HUB).
- Assist in developing academic program proposals and preparing accreditation documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of educational/practice grant applications.
- Complete institutional and national academic-related surveys.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years responsible administrative experience is required for this position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing, verbal and listening skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Outstanding organizational skills are also a must for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in higher education administration or related field.
- Professional experience in a college or university setting.
