The coordinator is a key member of the team responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and enhancing "NEW to UB" programs and initiatives designed to help incoming undergraduate students transition successfully to the University at Buffalo.
Your primary responsibility will be managing and supervising Orientation and Welcome Weekend student leader staff teams.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of signature programs, namely Orientation and Welcome Weekend.
- Rotating/shared responsibility for some additional priorities/initiatives, which may include coordinating a Year One workshop series, enhancing orientation session curriculum, assisting with publications development, working with parents and family members, etc.
- Contributing to the overall success of Orientation, Transition and Parent Programs, and engaging with/contributing to the profession at large.
Orientation, Transition and Parent Programs (OTPP) at UB is responsible for 1) planning, coordinating, implementing, evaluating, and enhancing "NEW to UB" programs and initiatives designed to help incoming undergraduate students transition successfully to the University at Buffalo, and 2) encouraging and educating students’ parents (and/or other adult family members) to be actively and appropriately involved in supporting their UB student.
