Center for International Studies
Study Abroad Program Coordinator
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of the Center for International Studies, the Study Abroad Program Coordinator (Professional Services Specialist 4) promotes Study Abroad on campus; provides information to students regarding opportunities; provides related program support by performing basic professional functions using established policies, procedures and guidelines; and does related work as required. The Study Abroad Program Coordinator also supports international students on campus by developing international programming initiatives. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and one year of related professional experience coordinating study abroad programs or working in an international studies office in an institution of higher education is required. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. A degree in international studies or a related field; fluency in one or more foreign languages; experience working with first generation college students; student advising experience; and experience in studying abroad or cross-cultural experience is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
