The University Union is committed to the principles of good educational practice and utilizes its resources to provide and enhance services and programs to the UNT community that interface with academics. The Union serves as the community center of campus for students and their parents, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community. Our primary purpose is to provide needed services and programs that enhance student developmental needs for social, recreational, cultural, and educational co-curricular endeavors. We assist students to become good citizens of a global community prepared to function successfully in a diverse world.
Position Overview
Position is responsible for managing processes, providing guidance and direction to personnel, and coordinating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to perform responsibilities. The position is responsible for sensitive and confidential information.
Position will manage personnel functions and processes, such as recruitment, hiring, training, payroll, staff development, terminations, recognition, guidance on departmental and university policies, and employee relations. Position will coordinate with the UNT Systems HR Generalist liaison.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience minimum in human resources, labor relations, organizational develop.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
* Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
* Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in accordance with employment regulations.
* Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
* Leadership and coaching skills.
* Demonstrates effective problem solving and resourceful thinking.
