Associate Director - Prospect Development


Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:

The Associate Director of Prospect Development is an essential member of the Utah Valley University Institutional Advancement team. In this position you will work with the Institutional Advancement team to establish new overall goals and strategies in order to increase private support to the University. You will also oversee and direct the prospect research, portfolio management, and data analysis efforts of the University. Additionally, you will partner with various members of the Institutional Advancement team to implement strategic plans for research and prospect management that align with the fundraising and engagement priorities of the University.

Required Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelors degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff level experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of databases and Customer/Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Knowledge of best practices in Advancement/Development Services regarding gift processing, reporting, data hygiene, and data security.
  • Knowledge of current IT trends as they relate to system integration, data security, and emerging technology.
  • Knowledge of accounting and budgets.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage personnel.
  • Management skills of IT systems and systems integration.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, poise, and professionalism.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Skills to work and communicate with the diverse levels of University employees from the * President and Executive level to direct reports to part time data analyst employees.
  • Ability to understand and convey concepts regarding highly technical IT systems and processes.
  • Ability to effectively plan, initiate, evaluate, and complete projects.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflicts with staff, colleagues, and vendors.


Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience managing an established prospect and portfolio management system.
Experience with a comprehensive fundraising campaign.

Physical Requirements:

General office environment.

Pay Range: $41,804 - $55,739
