Headquartered at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education, it is led in partnership with UCLA School of Education, the California Subject Matter Projects and seven Regional Academies across the state. 21CSLA is one of many branches of the California State System of Support.
The State Center designs and delivers professional learning experiences for Regional Academies across the state in various formats. Most of these offerings are hybrid format or fully virtual, including meetings, retreats, regional meet-ups, and research-practice webinars. The Public Education coordinator will help develop, facilitate, and support all of the Center's digitally mediated learning opportunities.

- Establishes evaluation criteria for measuring desired results and impact. Uses considerable discretion to determine methods and procedures to support the research team and evaluators with data collection and analysis. Plans and develops professional learning offerings for Collective meetings and Center functions. Evaluates prospective program partnerships. Recruits, selects, orients, evaluates and supervises professional development providers. Develops, prepares and reconciles budget for program(s). Evaluates and adjusts course content through evaluations and levels of interest shown.
- Uses business software systems in the completion of work assignments (for example, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Possesses advanced knowledge of the full scope of TK-12 public education learning environments such as in person training, coaching, blended learning, and independent study. Possesses advanced strategic planning, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Possesses advanced knowledge of financial forecasting and budget oversight for an organization of comparable size or larger as well as market and business strategies appropriate to the field of education. Demonstrates through knowledge of TK-12 education policies and procedures; advanced knowledge of CA TK-12 education as well as the field of educational leadership. Possesses successful experience as a TK-12 teacher, TK-12 educational leader including school site and district office, possesses successful experience working collaboratively on small- and large-scale projects. Possesses successful experience in event planning and project management.
- Master's degree in related area.
- Valid CA teacher credential. Valid CA administrative services credential.
Salary & Benefits
This is a 100% full-time (40 hrs a week) exempt career position, which is paid monthly and eligible for full UC Benefits. Annual salary is commensurate with experience.
