Career & Transfer Center is open 8-5 M-F. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Some evenings and weekends may be needed. 19 hours a week.

Criminal Background Check

Pre-employment criminal background checks are required for all Staff and Faculty positions. Pre-employment urinalyses drug screens are also required for all top candidates considered for positions in ACC’s College Police department.

General Statement of Job

Provides clerical and administrative support to a departmental office or program.

Information for This Posting Only

Provides customer service assistance to students, faculty, staff, and external partners at the Career & Transfer Center.

Description of Duties and TasksEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs office duties in support of faculty, staff, and/or student efforts, including word processing, data entry, maintaining files, processing mail, and duplication.

Gathers, compiles, and enters data, producing routine reports and documents.

Produces handouts, fliers, newsletters, brochures, manuals, and other documents.

Answers the telephone, routes calls, or takes messages; responds to and/or directs inquiries in person or on the telephone.

May input budget figures, prepares requisitions, logs and tracks expenditures, takes payments, or issues invoices or bills.

Maintains tracking systems and logs.

Operates office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.

Additional Job Specific Duties

Schedules appointments and assists with other support for career and transfer staff, and other internal and external partners.

Sets up space for events for and assists with hosting workshops, classes, and on-campus events.

Maintains bulletin boards, brochure racks, electronic signage, and other information areas with career and transfer information

Responds to inquiries from students, departments, or general public by telephone, email, or in person regarding career and transfer services.

May be assigned responsibility for special projects such as scheduling rooms, compiling information packets, creating forms, spreadsheets or promotional materials, and other projects.


This is an on-campus position at the Highland Campus, Building 4000.

Physical Requirements

Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment.

Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Full-time Faculty and Staffing Table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the College are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment.
