Financial Specialist/Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Moscow

Pay Range: $15.05 per hour or higher depending on experience

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Position Summary:

Responsible for various financial and budgetary activities including maintaining financial records; accounts receivable and accounts payable; reviewing DOAR reports and preparing monthly budget summaries and annual budget projections.

Responsible for maintaining laboratory compliance with the quality management system including training laboratory personnel in all applicable aspects of quality assurance practices and regulatory agency standards of performance. Maintains the standard operating procedure documentation system; reviews SOPs for compliance with UI ASL standards, and conducts internal audits. Serves as primary contact and resource for external audits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Good knowledge of:
Financial record keeping methods.
Principles of laboratory quality assurance.
Office support functions including word processing and filing.
Operation of common office equipment including copier and fax machines.
Rules of effective business English usage, spelling, punctuation and grammar; composing and proofreading standard business correspondence such as memos and form letters.
Basic math skills.

Experience in:
Managing financial information and preparing summaries and reports.
Using personal computers and spreadsheet software to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data.
Reviewing documents for compliance with established procedures and to determine errors or omissions.
Answering a business telephone using proper procedures and etiquette.
Using alphabetical, numerical, and subject filing systems.

Ability to:
Coordinate and balance workload for multiple tasks.
Interact with HRC visitors and clients in a professional and business-like manner.
Maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Good knowledge of:
UI policies and procedures.
ISO 17025 standards

Experience in:
Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

Ability to:
Act independently and exercise initiative.
Use good oral and written communication skills.
