Student Success Coordinator - Multiple Positions
The Student Success Coordinator (Professional Services Specialist 4) assists with University-wide retention initiatives, programs and events; caseload management; responds to student concerns and needs; and advocates on behalf of students. The Student Success Coordinator provides assistance with the following, which is not limited to: established initiatives such as First-Gen Kean (which includes programs tailored to and in support of first-generation students); Halfway to Graduation (which includes programs developed for the sophomore population); Junior initiatives; the Pop-Up Shop (a collaborative bi-annual “dress for success” type program); and other short and long term data driven initiatives or programs already established and/or created to support Kean students.
The Student Success Coordinator will also act as a liaison and collaborate with other divisions and departments for student orientation, registration, general student assistance and for any other assigned projects or committees. The Student Success Coordinator will also help to develop general collaborative efforts with University stakeholders.
This is an entry-level position reporting to the Associate Director of Student Retention and Educational Innovation. This is not a remote position and requires physical presence on campus as determined by the Supervisor. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and a minimum of one year of professional work experience with college students is required. One year of related professional work experience will also be considered. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Candidate must be student centered with excellent customer service skills; have strong computer skills, including Google Workspace; have experience with the use of technology, including student tracking systems, such as Ellucian Colleague, Advise and Navigate; and have excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills.
