The Medical School Dean's Office is responsible for the overall academic and administrative functions of the School. The Dean’s Office oversees the School's academic departments, the teaching and research enterprises, student services, and facilities. Functions include communications, financial and strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource management, and facility management and renovations.
This individual assists with the implementation and evaluation of the Leadership, Education, Advancement and Diversity (LEAD) Scholars Program. LEAD is designed to offer structured professional development venues for postgraduates and early to mid-career faculty, particularly those underrepresented in medicine and science, to enhance their opportunities for success and impact in their fields. Regarding the program implementation, this individual manages all administrative tasks associated with the program including publicizing, disseminating information, managing applications, answering participant’s questions, planning program events, coordinating and supporting Steering Committee meetings, managing the program website and tracking the program budget. Regarding the program evaluation, this individual performs tasks related to this evaluation, including summarizing literature reviews, administering evaluations and surveys, compiling evaluation data, assisting with data analysis as needed, and writing and editing reports.
