Job Summary
Plans, manages, and promotes student-focused services, events, and programs related to the mission of University Writing.

Assists with a variety of administrative/professional tasks for all aspects of University Writing, including the Miller Writing Center and other programs and events related to the office.

Coordinates programs for students; collects, manages, and analyzes appropriate assessment data; contributes to development of the website and other communication materials; and supervises student employees.

Essential Functions
Under the supervision of the Director of University Writing, works closely with others in University Writing to plan, manage, and assess existing and new services, events, and programs that provide direct support to students for the continued improvement of their writing abilities, broadly defined to include all forms of communication across different disciplines and audiences.

Maintains records and coordinates schedules related to the Miller Writing Center as well as workshops, events, and programs.

Manages reservations for in-class workshops and registrations for other events and programs.

Collects data on utilization, participation, satisfaction, and impact and contributes to assessment reports on University Writing activities.

Reviews, revises, and communicates policies and protocols for full-time and student employees.

Contributes to the logistical elements of recruitment, training, and supervision of writing center peer consultants, undergraduate program assistants, and graduate program assistants in University Writing.

Promotes a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment.

In collaboration with the Office of the Provost’s Communications and Marketing team, reviews and revises communication materials and web content.

Attends or delivers programs as needed.

May be assigned other special projects, tasks, or reports as needs arise.
