This position is primarily responsible for managing both the administrative functions and management of the Unit’s scheduling system. Administrative responsibilities include supervision of professional, permanent and temporary staff, management of all operating accounts (including the Unit’s operations budget, Harrison Auditorium budget, and a miscellaneous account), and coordination of all Unit activities, including equipment and vehicle inventory and maintenance. The Director will also be directly responsible for the management of the Resource 25 events management database, supervising the Unit’s scheduling operation that services all registered student organizations, faculty, academic departments, staff and administration, including all off-campus customers. Managed events include, but are not limited to, meetings, conferences, concerts, shows, classes, orientations, fairs, athletic events, speaking engagements, etc. The Director serve as the Chair of the University Logistics Committee, through which all major events are approved and processed. Committee members include Auxiliary Services, University Police, Facilities, Athletics, Student Center, Environmental Health and Safety, University Relations, etc. Position is responsible for managing data using a variety of computer applications, making independent decisions within university and department policies, interpreting, communicating, adhering to and developing policies and procedures, developing and establishing adequate internal controls, assessment and evaluation of Unit’s functions and goals. Responsible for marketing, customer service, training and workshops.
