The Department of Financial Aid at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide is searching for a Financial Aid Specialist. This position maintains incoming and outgoing calls/emails/chats etc. to advise and assist student with financial aid applications and other issues and concerns as they arise. The Financial Aid Counselor will maintain a working knowledge of Federal and State Regulations and ERAU policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will support excellence in student services at every opportunity and participate in our team environment.
Assist with Financial Aid quality control performing regular quality control checks of all federal aid, state financial aid programs, institutional scholarships and external scholarship opportunities to include student eligibility documentation and disbursements in accordance with University policies and procedures and Federal and State Regulations.
Assist management with quality control of loans, verification, and grants working daily reports to verify student’s eligibility and packaging is accurate in accordance to Federal/State/Institutional Regulations.
Responsible for the Worldwide Financial Aid Return Mail process; monitoring the Imaging Return Mail queue and contacting students regarding their incorrect paperwork.
