Advanced General Dentistry Clinic at the Dental School is the major clinical site for GPR and AEGD Postgraduate Residents to gain Advanced General Dentistry skills. This includes a comprehensive dental care for the general dental school patient care pool, with heavy emphasis in advanced services of all dental disciplines as well as practice management.
What You'll Do
The dental assistant will assist general dentists and specialty dentists chair side. The individual will greet and escort patients. The individual will take radiographs as instructed by the provider. The individual will set up and break down operatories and clean operatory areas after each patient. In addition, the individual will be responsible for sterilization and maintaining equipment and materials in accordance with OSHA, federal and state guidelines. The individual will also be responsible for stocking all materials needed in the clinic on a daily basis.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
Vocational/Technical diploma or Associates degree.
0-1 years' experience.
Must have Massachusetts Dental Assistant License.
Must be BLS certified.
Must be able to demonstrate compliance with School immunization requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exhibits knowledge and proficiency with sterile technique and assisting various specialties.
Sound knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance in regards to infection control, blood borne pathogens, sterilization and radiology.
