Overview
The Department of Neuroscience is a basic science department that focuses on cutting-edge research in the areas of synapse development and function, sensory systems, and complex behavior, cognitive neuroscience and behavioral neurobiology. Dr. Paul Davies is supported by funding from the federal government, private foundations, and industry.
What You'll Do
Under close supervision of Principal Investigator, conducts a variety of routine experiments following established procedures and protocols. There are two primary functions of this position: 1) Genotyping and managing a mouse colony, 2) Preparation of primary neuronal cell cultures. Having prior experiences in stem cell culture and immunoblotting is a plus.
What We're Looking For
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science with up to one year laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and procedures
