In keeping with the President’s commitment to Tuskegee University Becoming "One Tuskegee", the ideal GRANT SPECIALIST (SUB-AWARD/SUBCONTRACT) will possess the willingness to use their expertise in transforming Tuskegee into a leading 21st century living and learning environment.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Initiates the sub-award process by working closely with the Program Managers, Principal Investigators, Collaborators, Legal Counsel, and other University departments Develops the sub-award agreement, in conjunction with input from program personnel, the grant specialists and sub-awardee institution representatives, following through to execution     Verifies the Exclude Party List federal website to ensure sub-awardee is in good standing Obtains au it reports from the sub-awardees at the time of executing the new/modifications of the sub-awards Maintains and updates Federal Sub-award Reporting System (FSRS) for the sub-awards greater than $25,000 on grants and  cooperative agreements awarded after 10/01/10 to meet the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) requirement Ensure sub award monitoring as required by Circular A-133 using available current system/reports Update/maintain all sections of sub-award database- Grants and Proposal System (GAPs) Identify appropriate follow-on obtaining final progress reports and other required close-out documents from, the collaborator as per the Close-out policy

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  •      Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related areas Demonstrate ability to plan and organize Good oral and written communication skills Experience  working with and interpreting federal regulations and policies Experience ith Microsoft Office Provide exceIIent customer service in a courteous manner Must be a team player

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
4 or more years experience in Sponsored Programs/Research Administration Services

Salary
Commensurate with education, training, and experience
