The Office of Institutional Engagement at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) comprises individual, corporate, foundation and government fundraising; donor relations and stewardship; alumni, parents relations, and partners with these diverse constituents to advance RISD’s mission.

We seek an experienced advancement services professional to lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Raiser’s Edge/NXT environment. The successful candidate will bring sound management expertise and a high degree of professionalism to achieve departmental goals that directly impact RISD’s larger institutional goals around student success, enhanced academic programs, and social equity and inclusion (SEI) initiatives.

The successful candidate will be committed to donor-centric philanthropy, a practitioner of sound data security practices and an active participant in advancing RISD’s implementation of technology to enable effective and efficient data management.
Summary

Develop and recommend policies and procedures that ensure accurate and efficient data management to enable RISD to make data-based decisions related to its fundraising and engagement efforts. Responsible for the day-to-day management of gift processing, pledge management, matching gifts and biographical/demographic record areas of Advancement Services, including prospect and event data.

Lead staff and be responsible for (1) the acceptance, processing and receipting of gifts to RISD; (2) collecting and maintaining quality biographical data for constituents; (3) managing event data and registration processes; (4) writing complex data queries and creating and testing data exports for gift accounting and a wide variety of biographical data; and (5) using third-party tools like Import-O-Matic to integrate data sets from multiple software vendors to incorporate a variety of student, parent, organizational, prospect and volunteer information into the Raiser’s Edge/NXT CRM data sets and processes.
