College Budget Manager for the College of Arts & Sciences – (190168)

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide is seeking a College Budget Manager for the College of Arts & Sciences located at Worldwide Headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL.

This position reports to the Dean and assists with administrative support for all financial matters—including college, department, and externally-funded budgets- as follows:
Budget analyst and briefings for college and department budgets
Budget analyst and briefings for research and grant budgets
Run budget reports in Discoverer
Weekly, daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations both with and without Department Chairs and Dean
Input data daily in COAS Budget Spreadsheets
Input all Purchase Orders for COAS
Ship out textbooks and supplies to faculty, as needed
Assist the cost center budget manager to assure proper use of University funds by reviewing all Expense Reports routed to the cost center, verifying budget information, and noting/addressing all questions and concerns
Input Dean’s Expense Reports
Reconcile all COAS P-Cards
Place all orders for office supplies and materials, including materials needed for COAS Leadership Team and department meetings
Manage all purchases for college and departments
Manage expenses for all travel within the college
Initiate and manage all contracts for the college
Assist Dean and Leadership Team with annual budgeting and financial planning by providing allocation and expense projections
Ensure financial integrity of departmental, college, and research/grant budgets by monitoring balances and expenditures daily
Ensure efficient coordination of various costs center and departmental accounts by implementing budgeting systems and financial records which are compatible with the University’s accounting and reporting systems


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
(1-3) years of work related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Higher Education experience
Experience using Discoverer and other ERAU budget software/systems

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Experience managing complex budgets.
Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
