The Department of Student Affairs at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Headquarters is seeking a caring professional with experience in counseling and support. The ideal candidate will have knowledge for providing accommodations for students with disabilities, preferably in an online environment. They will also be familiar with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973and Title III of the American’s with Disabilities Act. The incumbent will provide students with a thorough understanding of Disability Support Services (DSS) resources and policies; and orient students toward their role as a self-advocate for services. They will also act as a liaison and resource to faculty and as a mediator for students with disabilities to ensure the effective and timely delivery of accommodations. This individual will also articulate and educate faculty and staff on University and Federal policies and procedures.
