This position provides administrative support to the Vice Rector at The St. Paul Seminary including recruitment and admissions for prospective candidates for the priesthood. It requires a high level of professionalism to work effectively with the offices of the Rector and Academic Dean, the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and sending dioceses, and the University of St. Thomas. This position supports the mission of The Saint Paul Seminary to provide integrated, Catholic formation for those called to serve as priests, deacons or lay leaders in their local Church.
Administration for the Vice Rector:
Plans, coordinates and maintains calendar
Schedules and coordinates meetings and appointments
Composes and edits documents and letters
Creates, maintains and secures confidential personal files for candidates for the priesthood
Arranges travel and lodging
Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned
Provides administrative support for seminary recruitment, admissions, student services and evaluation processes
Coordinates prospective seminarian and vocation directors’ visits
Organize and maintain admissions files including handing of confidential psychological reports
Arranges and schedules admissions interviews
Coordinates seminarian evaluation process and formation meetings with individuals or large groups of faculty members
Facilitate Essential 3 Compliance for faculty, staff and seminarians.
Coordinate community banquets and complete Banner entry for room and board
Provides secondary administrative support to the Rector’s office and the Academic Dean’s office.
High school diploma or the equivalent
Two years of administrative support experience
