We are in search of one part-time Sr. Food Service Worker to join our dynamic Dining Services Team to perform the following duties. The successful candidate will experience working in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art dining facility.
Under the supervision of the International House Dining Services Management Team, properly plate and serve meals using standard portion control techniques. Distribute, replenish and put away food and supplies in the service area. Maintain cleanliness and follow sanitation guidelines at steam tables, refrigerated serve lines, beverage dispenser. Ensure overall cleanliness of both servery and eatery including tables, chairs, floors windows and patios. Assume leadership role in the dish room, organizing and directing dish room functions. Operate and maintain dish room equipment such as dish machine and garbage disposal. Distribute, replenish and put away dishes, pots and pans. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards set by International House Dining Services and ServSafe at all times. Oversee work of two or more student assistants. Perform custodial duties such as floor cleaning, garbage removal, and other duties as assigned.
Must have basic English skills. Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions and to successfully perform the duties assigned. Six months experience in food preparation, service and general maintenance in a kitchen or dining area. Ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds. Considerable standing, walking, bending, grasping and repetitive hand movement required. Serve Safe certification required.
This position requires a Food Handler Card. If you are hired, your employment is contingent upon you obtaining a Food Handler Card within thirty days of employment.
Experience in a large volume food service institution.
Salary & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $16.84
