Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking applicants for the 2019-20 Sports Information Internship. The Sports Information Intern will report to the Sports Information Director and will assist the department with publicity of all 21 of Embry-Riddle’s sports teams. The sports information intern will be responsible for writing press releases, designing publications, and compiling statistics and records for dissemination to all internal and external constituencies, including, but not limited to, the media, community and opposing teams. The sports information intern will also assist in the maintenance of the athletic department’s website and various social media platforms, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and experience in a college or professional sports information setting preferred. The applicant should have strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as basic experience with Statcrew/ PrestoSports/Genius Sports in-game statistical programs. Proficiency with both Mac and PC computers and Adobe Creative Suite preferred. Experience with video recording and editing, as well as motion graphic is a plus.
Compensation: Interns will be compensated at a rate of $1,450 per month to offset their living expenses during this 10-month internship. Total compensation: $14,500. In addition, this internship provides a University meal plan.
