    JOB SUMMARY

    The University of St. Thomas is opening the Center for Well Being in the fall of 2019 with the vision of distinguishing the University of St. Thomas as a national leader in enhancing well-being for students, faculty, and staff. The Center for Well Being brings together mental health, physical health, wellness promotion and violence prevention services into one location integrating services delivery, systems and practice management with a shared vision. The Center will develop a robust upstream prevention approach that addresses physical and mental health, resiliency, wellness, and violence prevention measures for the campus community. A major responsibility of the Director of Operations will be to support the integration of these services, (Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Wellness, and Violence Prevention), and help guide the organization toward attainment of its vision. Integral to this process is analysis, planning, prioritizing, implementing and evaluating operational processes, systems, policies and procedures to enhance services and improve the health of the St. Thomas community.



    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Oversee operations of the Center for Well Being:

    Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality, timely, and cost-effective care and education
    Oversees systems between service areas including the front desk, to ensure optimal operations and communication between departments.
    Assist the Executive Director in promoting the highest standards of care delivery, education and quality improvement initiatives
    Provide strategic guidance on Center for Well Being budget and work collaboratively with budget managers within the Center. Work across the organization to market and promote a positive image of Center for Well Being within the University of St. Thomas community and beyond
    Oversees integration of electronic health records/practice management system; and ensure that all staff are appropriately trained with correct security access
    Coaches, mentors and trains employees for growth and development opportunities in skill, knowledge, and leadership
    Develop new policies and procedures; update and consolidate as appropriate existing policies and procedures among integrated service areas
    Assist with the integration to one electronic health record
    Training and implementation of all policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
    Ensures strict compliance with state and federal mandates (HIPAA, FERPA, PHI, etc.)


    Direct operations of the medical clinic (Health Services) within the Center for Well Being:

    Manages day-to-day operations of Health Services to include budgeting, staffing, planning and coordinating work assignments, problem solving, patient flow, supply management, oversight of credentialing, licensure, and certification of all clinic staff.
    Supervise employees including hiring, training, updating and maintaining job descriptions, and setting expectations and evaluating job performance
    Create a supportive and cohesive work environment that enhances strong team dynamics
    Routinely audit clinic to meet established operational and safety standards (e.g., infection control, quality assurance, etc.) with responsibly for training and compliance according to regulatory agency requirements
    Delegate responsibilities as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
    Five years of experience in program administration or office management


    Preferred Qualifications

    Master’s degree in Health Administration, or Business Administration in Health care Management
    Experience managing a medical and mental health clinic facility
    An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted
