Pay Range: $44,556 annually or higher commensurate with experience

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Position Summary:

The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator works closely with staff members in Housing & Residence Life and campus partners to support the department's communication and engagement strategies. This position is charged with increasing awareness and enhancing the image of Housing & Residence Life. The coordinator is responsible for communications with students and parents through the various social media platforms. Major position responsibilities include the management of the department's social media platforms, fall move-in and overseeing the department's participation in recruitment initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Public Relations or related field;

Well developed interpersonal communication skills, including written and oral communication;

Evidence of ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds;

Two years of related experience to the position responsibilities;

Computer skills with emphasis on Word, Excel and/or graphic design software;

Evidence of strong organizational and decision making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in Public Relations, Student Services, or related field;

Experience with higher education recruitment and event coordination;

Experience managing social media on behalf of an organization;

Supervisory experience;

On Campus Living Experience;

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Ability and willingness to lift and/or otherwise move and transport materials and supplies for recruitment event purposes (30-50 pounds);

Willingness to work extended, evening, and/or weekend hours.

Valid Drivers License and ability to meet the University of Idaho driving requirements.
