The Center for Advocacy, Response and Education (CARE) Survivor Intake Specialist will serve as the first line of contact and provide confidential support for those on the K-State campus who experience dating, domestic or sexual violence, sexual harassment, and stalking. They will perform administrative tasks for the CARE office and connect the K-State Community to resources.

Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary course work in counseling, psychology, social work, human services, or related field; or two years’ experience in related field.
Experience working as a survivor advocate or in a support service capacity for those impacted by trauma preferred.
Knowledge of power-based violence and social justice including knowledge of legislation related to power-based violence on campuses (Title IX, Campus SaVE Act, etc.)
Ability to plan events, organize and deliver support services; reach under-served populations (people of color, LGBTQ, individuals with disabilities, and non-traditional students); intervene appropriately in crisis situations.
Demonstrated ability in outreach and program development; ability to manage multiple tasks; provide exemplary customer service; work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to thoroughly document support services and actions regarding case management.
