Under the supervision of the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Marketing Communications Strategist (Professional Services Specialist IV) is responsible for maintaining and promoting the University’s social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube to maximize Kean’s audience and build brand awareness. The Social Media Marketing Communications Strategist will also be responsible for writing and editing copy for emails, press releases and other content. The Strategist must be capable of building strategic relationships with various campus constituencies and will coordinate the development and execution of key communication messages, along with the visuals, through appropriate internal and external channels of communication; performs basic professional functions using established policies, procedures and guidelines; and does related work as required. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours and the ability to travel off-campus for events coverage as needed.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional experience writing and editing content for social media platforms, print or video is required. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute required experience on a year-for-year basis. Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
