Leadership Development Program Specialist
KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology)

The Leadership Development Program Specialist supports the mission of KAUST's Saudi Initiatives Division to cultivate Saudi Arabia's next generation of academic and industry leaders who will shape higher education and innovation in the Kingdom's emerging knowledge economy.

Reporting to the Manager of the Specialized Enrichment department, the Leadership Development Specialist develops and oversees a growing portfolio of national academic and corporate leadership and training programs to ensure quality, impact, and strategic strength.

KAUST's leadership programs are held on the University's campus in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, and are intended to both strengthen competencies of current leaders in the country, as well as to identify and develop rising talent.

Major Responsibilities:

Work internally and with external higher education partners (including international universities, business schools, and consultant firms) on academic and holistic program design, planning, and execution benchmarked against highest international standards
Support design and coordination of complementary program events including alumni gatherings, special meetings, or additional post-program supplementary sessions
Support and facilitate bidding and selection process for international academic service providers, including proposal review, program evaluation, and interviews
Facilitate stakeholder relations and communications
Provide program assessment, reports, and strategy development for maximum national impact

Education & Experience:

Must have a Bachelor degree and a Master's degree with high academic recommendations.
Must have more than 8 years of specific experience in this kind of role already and in a University setting/Academia.
Coordination, facilitation and design support of executive training/talent development programs
Proven record of working effectively with faculty and adult students
Knowledge of leadership and talent development trends in academia and industry
International experience a bonus
In-depth understanding of adult learning theories, methodologies and best practice
Adept at supporting design of learning programs and curricula
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in MS Office suite and e-learning tools
Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain relationships at multiple levels
Extensive project management skills
Adept at problem solving, creative thinking, decision making, and negotiation
Results-oriented with an ability to see the larger goal while ensuring details are observed
Adept at expressing new ideas and recommendations for program and process improvement
