The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences seeks an energetic, experienced, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Multimedia Specialist. This person functions in all aspects of lecture and presentation capture to include recording, editing, compressing, storage, distribution, and access to multimedia files. Responsible for operational support of classroom and lab multimedia recording equipment to include associated peripherals, software, control programs, and other equipment needed for content capture. This position will serve to maintain and update the College website pages in collaboration with University offices, assist in maintaining a current and vibrant social media presence, as well as generate multimedia content including photography, digital graphics, literature design and video to support and drive the vision and mission of the College. The position will work closely with the University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT), the College’s Instructional Designer, and the University’s Marketing Department on behalf of the staff and faculty of the College of Pharmacy. This person will serve as the specialist for all current multimedia appliances and is responsible for research and consultation for new equipment.
Minimum applicant requirements: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field or substantial relative experience. Demonstrated experience in higher education working with faculty and staff; progressive experience in audio/video production and capture; demonstrated knowledge and experience in web content management systems and social media platforms; demonstrated progressive computer experience with learning management systems, web conferencing systems, lecture capture, and other web-based learning applications; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of all levels of expertise; and ability to resolve problems effectively, efficiently, and independently.
