Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide announces a new position in the department of Administration and Business Operations. The Budget Analyst will provide highly responsible, specialized and diverse work to the Worldwide Budget Director and the Worldwide Leadership team. Additionally, the position will be responsible for providing guidance, training and communications to the Worldwide community for all matters relating to budget development, preparation, control and analysis.

Responsibilities Include:
Manages the overall preparation and maintenance of the annual budget for the Worldwide Campus.
Responsible for leading various complex budget related projects, new internal procedures, adherence to policy, budgetary and internal controls.
Manages, develops and conducts budget manager training with and for Directors and their budget managers.
Manages all tracking and processing of all budget transfer requests from appropriate budget managers
Assists in the coordination and implementation of new technology, evaluates impact, assists with planning upgrades and enhancements to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or completion of program of 18+ months after high school (Preferred area of study: business, math, accounting, or similar field)
(3-5) years of work related experience.
Working knowledge of business and accounting terminology.
Working knowledge of contractual and legal documents
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical skills with an ability to understand and create budget reports.
Ability to learn new applications/programs
Familiarity with Discoverer reporting tools.
Very high technical expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word, to include Pivot Tables, functions, charts, data integrity.
Significant technical expertise with Microsoft Windows, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet end-user applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Oracle financial applications.
