Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for an Applications Business Analyst.  The primary function of this role is to provide ongoing support and maintain vendor relationships for various applications; including but not limited to, Atrium, ProWatch, T2, RAVE, JobX, Maximus; which serve the administrative community of Embry-Riddle. The Business Analyst will assist with formulating solutions for incorporating the many technology and business requirements into comprehensive application systems. As part of the Applications support team, this position will require on-call support as part of a rotating schedule. As a member of the Applications Group, this role will play a key part in delivering quality, tested solutions to our customers.

Provide support for various applications supporting the University’s administrative community. Work closely with a wide network of customers and vendors to provide superior customer service. Understand customers’ business processes and look for opportunities to enable them via the appropriate application of technology.
Perform troubleshooting to assist customers with any application systems problem solving activities. Implement processes for maintaining a stable application environment. Analyze and identify software support solutions.
Communicate issues, critical problems and situations to appropriate managers, both customer and IT. Identify and resolve data, reporting and other application systems problems. Communicate solutions to customers in an effective and efficient manner. Ensure effective inter and intra team communications.
Participate and influence short/long term technology plans. Keep abreast of technology trends, especially those trends relating to the educational environment. Manage projects as necessary to keep applications up to date for the business users.
