Position Summary
The department of neurosurgery in the Jacobs School is actively recruiting for a laboratory technician. This individual will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) in the genomics of cerebrovascular disease.
Job duties include:
- data collection and entry
- assist the PI in report writing and graphical presentation of research
- manage laboratory samples
- run sequencing samples
The individual will also be expected to work in a clinical setting with patient samples.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Laboratory skills including qPCR, western blots, and cell cultures.
Strong interest in neuroscience.
Physical Demands
Salary Range
$16.00 - 20.00 per hour
